In this role, you will work on the project entitled “SARDUS BACTER: Development of the first biopesticide based on Brevibacillus laterosporus strains isolated from Sardinian soils”. Aim of the project is to select B. laterosporus strains showing the most promising plant protection activity, the suitability for formulations and field applications as biocontrol agent. As a Research Scientist, you will conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments to evaluate the ability of the strains to control fungi, bacteria and insects, to clarify the bacterial mode of action through genomic and transcriptomic analyses and contribute to the dissemination of results in peer-reviewed journals and scientific conferences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your career while working alongside a team of dedicated professionals.
Experience in Plant Protection industry is a plus but not required. Beside the scientific competences, we value soft skills as teamwork attitude and problem-solving abilities and are looking for a candidate who shares our commitment to innovation in the agri-food industry!
